Environmental, Social, and Governance

At Alfie & Co Coffee Roasters, our commitment to sustainability is rooted in our integrity and an honest assessment of our practices. We align our operations with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), striving to make a positive impact through ethical sourcing, environmental stewardship, and community engagement.

While we actively contribute to many of the SDGs, we acknowledge that we currently do not meet the objectives of:

  • SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation: Our operations do not directly address water and sanitation issues.
  • SDG 14 – Life Below Water: As a coffee roaster, our activities have limited interaction with marine ecosystems.

We believe in transparency and continuous improvement, and we are committed to exploring ways to expand our impact in the future.

We also believe that self-monitoring, approached with sincerity and with the goals of the UN SDG at heart, is more impactful and effective, as any business that truly values it's impact on society should be aware of their operations and be able to identify any failings therein.
